Discovery Law has developed powerful electronic discovery production tools that are in use by some of the country's top litigation support service providers. One of the most popular tools is the Discovery Law ED Reporter, used to create detailed contents reports of electronic media prior to electronic discovery (ED) processing.
Discovery Law ED Reporter enables you to print or export directory listings/reports to identify media directory structures, files contained, sizes of files and page counts of image files.
Some of the features include:
- Report on single directories or entire trees. When reporting on trees, the number of levels of subdirectories reported on can be specified.
- Choice of fields to report on (file type, size, date/time, attributes, MS Word/Excel properties, PDF/TIFF information).
- Sort by name, extension, file type, date/time or attributes.
- Reports name, path and size of files, and optionally a breakdown of total files by file type.
- Option to print summary listing (subdirectories only, without files).
- Option to filter files by date or date range.
- Ability to export to comma-delimited files (which can be imported into spreadsheets or litigation support database programs).
- Print preview available.
- PDF feature to determine what PDFs contain embedded text and an option to extract/copy the PDFs without embedded text to a new directory for easier OCR processing.
